MSM: exhibition inspired to Sator magic squares for ports and land SL

The Magic Square Museum (MSM) will organize an exhibition inspired to Sator magic squares at "Italian Life" land in Second Life, from the 1st may to the 30 june 2008.

Try to remember when you were students, during math lessons few of you were interessed. The must of you were disappointed and really bored.
So math is essential in our society based on science and computer science.
Math born with filosophy and it's appear in religion and magic.
So why math doesn't interesting?

Magic Square Museum (MSM) was born in Second Life (on "Vulcano" land) with the specific target to make an mathematic mysterious object as Magic Squares is, more interesting.
Photographers, artists and get passionate to you have embraced the supplied plan and, at first their point of view that then has realized in interesting contributions.
MSM has decided to transform the section dedicated to Magical Squares SATOR in one exhibition for ports and land Second Life.

Before the stage will be in the realized Italian land with particular sensibility for the graphical yield: Italian Life
(the extension will be visitabile from the first May to the 30 june to following slurl
Italian Life (79, 122, 20).

You will find the successive stages in famous english and spanish lands.
We are a lot interested to prepare one not virtual but real extension.

MSM: mostra itineranerante ispirata ai quadrati magici SATOR

Il Magic Square Museum (MSM) organizza una mostra itinerante ispirata ai quadrati magici SATOR. Prima tappa nell'isola Italian Life dal primo maggio al 30 giugno.

Ripensatevi per un attimo mentre sedevate tra i banchi di scuola. Cercate di ricostruire mentalmente un'ora di matematica: ricorderete pochissimi studenti interessati e molti annoiati, distratti, assenti.
Eppure la matematica è essenziale in una società basata sulla ricerca scientifica e sull'informatica.
Inoltre la matematica è nata a braccetto con la filosofia ed in seguito ha accompagnato la religione e la magia.
Dati i presupposti, perché oggi la matematica deve annoiare o non dare spunti di interesse.

Magic Square Museum (MSM) nasce in Second Life (ospitato dall'isola di Vulcano) con questo intento: creare interesse per un argomento matematico misterioso e affascinante come i Quadrati Magici.
Fotografi, artisti e appassionati hanno abbracciato il progetto e fornito, dapprima il loro punto di vista che si è poi concretizzato in interessanti apporti.
MSM ha deciso di trasformare la sezione dedicata ai Quadrati Magici SATOR in una mostra Second Life itinerante.

La prima tappa sarà nell'isola italiana realizzata con particolare sensibilità per la resa grafica: Italian Life.
La mostra sarà visitabile dal primo maggio al 30 giugno al seguente slurl
Italian Life (79, 122, 20).

Troverete le successive tappe in famose land di lingua inglese e spagnola e, a richiesta, siamo molto interessati ad allestire una mostra non virtuale ma reale.

the magic costant is 111, three one. The sum of all the numbers of the square is 666, the number of the Beast of th Apocalypse. The colours are: purple or magenta for the numbers and yellow for the background. The metal of the Sun is gold.
